Well Brian pulled of another win. He won the heat race,trophy dash,and the race of champions. What a way to finish out the season. He won seven a mains in a row. He also was the first pro stock to make it into the 14 second range.He not only broke the track record for the pro stocks but also turned a faster time than the modified track record. The new car really is fast and drives like a dream. Next year the plan is for my other son Jay to drive the car.With the ruptured disc in my back ,it looks like my racing days are over.Now its up to my sons to carry on and I wish them the very best.Thank you to all the fans and also to all our sponsors...Thank you..Until next year thanks to all.....Butch

Well Brian pulled off another win tonight. That makes 6 in a row.Really am surprised that he continues to win.He is doing a fantastic job driving my car.I only wish it was me behind the wheel. With my back injury it doesn't look like I will get to race again. Brian really surprised me sat nite,That was his 5th win in a row driving my pro stock.He not only broke the track record for the pro stocks,but also broke the record set by the modifieds and somehow got the pro stock running faster than the modifieds.I am really proud of him as any dad would be of his son.It doesn't look like I'll be able to get back in the car.My back just doesn't seem to want to get it together.The doctors are telling me to draw dis-ability.It looks like my other son Jay is going to try to drive next year.He needs seat time in the car and some good practice sessions to prepare for next year. Well Brian did it again. This makes 4 a-mains in a row that he has won.He is using the same set-up that I used on the car when I was able to drive.I don't believe I will be able to drive the car again.The nerve in my back causes me to walk with a limp and that in turn is affecting my hip..It is becoming more difficult to just walk.At this point in time I am just waiting for test results to see what the dr's are going to do.Guess I just wait and see..So until I find out something,I guess my son Brian will be driving the car.I want to thank all my sponsors and all the fans.Thank you for hanging in there with me ......Butch

Well,not only did we get rained out..we got hailed out..I haven't seen hail that large ever here in the state of Oregon.Some of them were almost the size of golf balls.Some of the guys received hail damage to their vehicles. We were lucky and didn't get any. We are off next week so we won't race now for a couple of weeks.So until then thank you to my fans and sponsors. Well my back problem has not changed. Go in next week for an MRI. Hopefully they will find out what is wrong and until they do my son Brian has agreed to drive my car.Last nite was a real surprise.I thought we had a 3rd place car but Brian pulled out another win.That makes "3" in a row. As many people know I have a pinched nerve in my back and my son Brian has driven the car the past two weekends. He has been doing really well. He has won the A-main both weeks. Last night he had a clean sweep.He won the heat race,the trophy dash,and finished the night by winning the A-main.I don't know when I will be able to drive the car again because of the nerve in my back.Until then Brian has agreed to drive for me,which I really appreciate.Next week we race on Friday night so I hope to see everyone there.The new car is really driving and handling super.I can't wait until I am able to drive again. Tonight was the 50 lap Art Pollard race. We started on the outside pole and slowly slid back to 5th by the halfway mark. The motor was losing power and didn't know why.The motor broke a main cap and we went up in flames. Did not finish the race. Guess we will have to try next week...

Got the new motor in and it seems to run well. Got ready to go out for the heat race and the clutch pedal went to the floor. Something hydraulic broke.Couldn't get to the line up for my heat and the officials wouldn't let me run a later heat so we loaded up the car and went home.Will pull the transmission and see what broke.So until next week..we will try again....thanks to all the fans and sponsors for hanging in there...It sure is frustrating but we keep trying....THANK YOU.......

Well we won the heat race and finished 2nd in the trophy dash. The track was probably the roughest it has been all year but we managed to squeek out a 3rd. place finish. Well we tried some new changes for the heat race and it sure didn't work..I think we finished 5th. Made new changes for the main and this time we were right on. Led most of the race and got held up by a lap car. Was at the wrong place at the wrong time and paid the price. Got passed and had to settle for a 2nd place finish.All in all,it was a good nite. We finished 2nd and we loaded the car with no damage,so I am reallY happy with that. Wash the car,do a nut & bolt check and we are ready for next week. Won the heat race and was in the trophy dash. Battling for first place in the dash and spun the car out.Started at the back of the main and worked my way up to 3rd and got a right rear flat.Went to pits and changed tire and started at the rear again. Got involved in an accident which took out the radiator and was done for the night.Will be back next week and hopefully I will avoid any accidents.The new car is a pleasure to drive and is working really well considering we only have two races down so far. The new car seems to work really well.Got second in the heat and after starting at the back of the main we finished 4th in the main. Took it easy the first half of the race to see what the car was capable of. Drove harder the second half and the car is a pleasure to drive. Loaded the car at the end of the night with no dents or body damage. That alone made me happy. Will see what next week brings. We took the new car to the car show on saturday.What a pleasant surprise to win BEST OF SHOW.I want to thank my dad,Jay (my son),my wife,and all the friends who came by to help on the car.I had forgotten how much time and money it takes when you start with a bare frame and cage.Hours & Hours of time and money.The car looks great and can't wait for playday to see how it performs.Want to thank all the fans,fellow racers,and sponsors who voted for the car. The new season is soon approaching and we built a new car for this 2009 season. The car is new from the chassis up.Every nut and bolt,interior,body,everything new. Hopefully this year our luck will change.Even the body is different from last year. New colors and a different style of numbers. We will be putting the new car in the car show and also the pear blossom parade. Until then I want to thank all my sponsors,both previous sponsors and some who have joined us for the first time. We are building a brand new car for the 2009 season. the motor and tranny are in,the brakes are done,and now its on to doing all the new wiring. then the new body.different color scheme this year Hopefully the new colors will please the fans and sponsors,even more than last years color scheme.Will have the new car at the pear blossom parade and the car show this year..I think everyone will be surprised. well we made it to the race of champions..we were running 4th when something bent the drag link and locked up the steering. could not turn the car and had to pull off.we were the last car to pull off with a problem so we actually finished in 8th. guess its better than last. guess we'll see what happens next week when we run with the late models.there were 93 cars last year and we still timed in 32nd agains them with their monster tires. until next week...thanks to the fans and sponsors.....we will be out next year with a brand new car and we'll see how that works out.....Butch

we finished 2nd in the heat.started on the outside pole.guessed wrong on the setup.went to about 8th in the first lap.the car was too tight and it wouldn't turn in the corners.after the fuel burned off I was able to get back to a 4th place finish. found a broken left front shock after the race and it contributed to the car not handling. next week we have the race of champions so i guess we'll see how that goes.the car has really been fast lately and working well. just part failures are hurting us.maybe next week will be better..thanks again to the fans and sponsors...

won the heat race,won the trophy dash,and started 13th in the A main. on lap 13 took the lead and led until lap 38.both front ball joint control arms broke. was able to hang on and get a 2nd place finish.couldn't steer the car so had to throttle hard in the corners to finish the last 2 laps.at least we were abe to finish. thanks to all the fans and especially my sponsors...next week???

HAD THE CAR WORKING FAIRLY WELL. THOUGHT THE TRACK WOULD GO DRY SLICK,GUESSED WRONG!!ADDED WEIGHT AND THAT WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO.THE CAR CAME ALIVE 2/3 OF THE WAY THRU THE RACE.OUR FASTEST TIME WAS AROUND LAP 20..THE FUEL BURN OFF FREED UP THE CAR BUT IT WAS A LITTLE TOO LATE. WE DID MANAGE TO PULL OUT A 4TH PLACE FINISH THOUGH.ONE OF THESE DAYS WE WILL GUESS RIGHT,AT LEAST WE ARE FINISHING UP FRONT THIS YEAR.THE CAR IS REALLY WORKING WELL AND ITS THE FASTEST ITS BEEN IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. CHANGED SPRINGS,SHOCKS,AND MOVED SOME WEIGHT AROUND..MADE IT DRIVE LIKE A DIFFERENT CAR. TIL NEXT RACE,THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS,AND ESPECIALLY THE SPONSORS.......BUTCH

car seemed to be working really well. the heat race was follow the leader.I think we finished 7th. Didn't push it too hard because I heard something banging in the rear. Checked car in the pits and found the left rear control arm had pulled the bar from the cage.we were done for the nite and didn't get to run the main event. Will re-weld in a new bar and be ready for next week. The DNF's really hurt us as far as points go.It's been an uphill battle and the car is working really well. Car is working well now. Turned in the fastest lap times of the nite.Won the heat race,won the trophy dash,and was told I came in 4th in the A main. Hard to tell with all the lap cars. Heard only the top 5 finished on the lead lap. Guess I'll find out next week where we actually finished. Had the car working really well.Started 20th and by lap 18 was running 3rd. Making a move on the 2nd place car between turns 3&4 and the clutch blew out,caused me to spin out and was pushed to the pits. Went from 3rd to last in the blink of an eye. Due to heads up driving by the other drivers the car did not receive any damage due to the spin out. Pulled the trans today (sunday) and the clutch is wasted. Hope for better luck next week. so far this year we have only had two races.finished 8th in the first one. running 3rd in the second and a lap car spun in front of me.went to the back and worked back up to 8th before race was over. hopefully we will do better in future races.I think we have finally figured out our chassis setup..It seems to be working really well.only future races will tell. Sorry my site was down for most of last year but we have it up and running again......thanks for all the sponsor and fan support.....

Considering we started the season out with so many breakage problems,we fought back from 21st in points to a 7th place final in points. Guess we shouldn't complain considering we only finished about half of the races.The last race of the season we finally found a setup that really worked....finally..Can't believe it took so long. The car is now running in the 15 second times and working really well.Next year should prove to be interesting..Hopefully we can start out without something breaking..So thank you to all the fans and especially to all my sponsors for hanging in there with me..THANK YOU..til next year Butch......

THE TRACK REALLY WASN'T THAT BAD SAT NITE. WON THE HEAT RACE.THE CAR WAS REALLY HOOKED UP FOR A CHANGE. FINISHED IN 6TH IN THE A MAIN. GUESS I CAN'T COMPLAIN SINCE WE LOST A CYLINDER TWO LAPS INTO THE RACE. HAVEN'T GOT IT CHECKED OUT YET SO DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.HOPING FOR A FOULED PLUG AND NOT ANOTHER BROKEN ROCKER ARM, IN ALL OF THE HEAT RACES ONLY ONE CAR WAS FASTER SO WE WERE REALLY PLEASED WITH THE WAY THE CAR WAS HANDLING FOR A CHANGE. TOO BAD I DIDN'T HAVE ALL 8 CYLINDERS FOR THE FULL MAIN EVENT. ALWAYS NEXT WEEK.....THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS AND OF COURSE ALL OF MY SPONSORS.SEE YOU NEXT WEEK......BUTCH

Got the car working really well. Haven't had much luck on the track lately but we keep trying.the setup really keeps us guessing but its fun. the track was really awesome in the heat races.pulled out a 3rd place finish after sliding off turn two. picked up a vibration and backed off the gas causing me to slide off.regained speed and was able to finish 3rd. broke the roller needles in the u-joint. replaced the drive line and only managed a 8th place in the main. still trying to figure the setup out but the car is really fast. just needs fine tuning for the main events.even with a so-so nite we moved up 3 spots on the points list...we'll keep trying....thank you to my sponsors and the fans...see you all next week.....

well the new season has started and we seem to be having a few problems. the very first race we broke two rocker arms and had a lifter come apart.won our heat race and finished 3rd in the trophy dash...on 7 cylinders..knew something was wrong in the heat but didn't have time to check it out til just before the main..we didn't run the A main. week two we broke a shock mount.with all the grinding going on I pulled off the track not knowing what the problem was. all easily fixed but it really puts us behind in the points schedule.guess we'll just have to try harder in the upcoming races. the new 3 link suspension we installed is really working awesome. the car is the fastest it's ever been. plenty of forward bite and the handling is great..we'll see what next week has in store for us....until then thank you to all of my sponsors and also to all the fans thank you ..... the car has been completely re-worked.bare frame up. all new motor,new body,and every nut and bolt removed down to a bare frame.had forgotten how much work it takes to put one of these cars together. hopefully all the hard work will pay off. new season...new car...since my son will be racing a pro stock this year,I am really looking forward for the racing to start. thank you to all my sponsors for helping out ,yet another year..a BIG thanks to my dad, and a special thanks to all the fans. see you all at the races. A new season is coming and hopefully a change in our luck.Finally figured out why the car wouldn't go.The tach was the problem.It was shorting out the distributor.We are completely re-building the car,from the frame up.We are even changing to another type of suspension.A new motor with more horsepower is in the shop.Now that we have figured out what was wrong we are hoping for a more competive year. well we finally got close on the set up on the car.we pulled off a 3rd.in the heat race,should have been 2nd.a friend of mine tried to put me in the wall so I settled for 3rd. a short talk afterwards,hopefully corrected that problem....we'll see!!! got a respectible 5th in the A main,considering the track was really DRY SLICK,but it was the same for everyone.we are just pleased that we have the setup on the car fairly close.guess next race will tell if it was just a fluke or we actually guessed right..until then thanks to all the fans and especially all the sponsors........thank you!!!!

spun the car in the heat race to avoid hitting someone(who's name I won't mention)and had to run the B main,not my favorite thing to do. ended up winning the B main and transfered to the A main. starting at the back we pulled out a 9th place finish,not the best in the world but could have been worse..we were shorted 5 laps so we may have finished better. don't know.....keep hoping for lady luck to come my way.I'd rather be lucky than good any day..here's hoping for better races to come...

Well I thought my bad luck was a thing of the past..Guess again!!!!Guessed wrong on the setup and went nowhere.Ended up spinning the car to avoid an accident and ended up like 16th.Really hope I can get things turned around soon,starting to run out of time...Oh well we'll see what next week brings..Thanks to all the fans for being there and a special thanks to all the sponsors for hanging in there...We'll get it figured out soon...Have to do better....it's an ego thing!!!! I have to thank whom ever is responsible for an awsome track on race nite. probably the best in almost two years. I finished 18th due to a broken water pump.the fan went right in to the radiator.hope this is not the sign of more trouble to come.we will be putting in a new motor,radiator and anything else we suspect might me weak. hope to have better luck next week. an 8th & 9th finish isn't good either,for the two prior weeks races. I guess we are struggling but we will get it all together or die trying.

went to the track sat. nite to watch the mods run.race was cut short due to rain...duh...duh... imagine that!!!Checked out the track after the race and was really surprised that they even tried to race on it.the worst I have ever seen. just hope it's not that bad on sat, 21st. if it is I will be loading up and going home.It's just to expensive to repair the car after a nite on a track that is that rough.guess we'll see everyone on sat nite and hope for the best and a smooth track.....or something close to one...
